With several accomplishments- including a full page feature in a local newspaper - she continues to thrive in the Kenyan art scene using her God given gift. Her zeal and tenacity has enabled her to complete insane pieces , including a 50 ft x 10 ft solo mural located at St. Austin's Academy in Lavington, Nairobi.

At the young age of 20, Melissa Joe, a young Kenyan painter and pencil artist who emulates Pablo Picasso in her work.  Always seems to amaze many, piece after piece.

Her non conventional portraits usually tell a story and attract eyes through her color combinations.

In pursuit of her purpose and deep love for her community, she gives free art classes to artistically gifted children who cannot afford the luxury of learning art. This is accomplished through her charity organization - The Hadassah Project - which was founded in 2018 with the aim of exposing children from needy backgrounds to careers and opportunities in the arts, so as to reduce poverty and inequality levels in Kenya.
